1. GENERAL INFORMATION

From May 25, 2018, a new regulation for the protection of personal data (General Data Protection Regulation), adopted by the European Union, enters into force. The regulation aims to ensure the protection of the data of natural persons from all EU member states and to unify the regulations for their processing. As a personal data controller, Sirius Maritime LLC  meets all the requirements of the new regulation, collecting only the data of individuals to the extent that it is necessary for the provision of the service, and keeps it responsibly and lawfully. Sirius Maritime LLC carries out its activities in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016 on the protection of natural persons in relation to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data.

4. DEFINITION OF PERSONAL DATA

According to the new regulation, “personal data” is any information relating to an identified natural person or an identifiable natural person (“data subject”); an identifiable natural person is a person who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or by one or more characteristics specific to the physical, the physiological, genetic, psychic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.

6. BASIS FOR COLLECTION OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

The PERSONAL DATA ADMINISTRATOR collects and processes your personal data in connection with the company’s activities – import, sale, installation, after-sales service and warranty of rack elements, as well as all other products and services related to warehouse equipment.
The grounds for carrying out these activities are
Explicit consent received from you as a customer /through the online platform of the company or through a self-signed consent/
Fulfilling the duties of the PERSONAL DATA ADMINISTRATOR under a contract with you;

8. PROVIDING LINE DATA TO THIRD PARTIES

Exceptions are where certain information is provided to lawyers, collection agencies, customs or other government authorities, or to law enforcement agencies to address potential violations, other breaches of contract or illegal conduct. We may also disclose information as required by law or as otherwise required by law, or to prevent possible harm to persons or property.

 

9. STORAGE PERIOD FOR YOUR PERSONAL DATA

Your data will be stored for as long as we are required to do so by law or until the end of our warranty support relationship for products or services purchased from us. The moment you withdraw your desire to be our customer, your data will be deleted.

 

10. USER RIGHTS

According to the new Regulation on the protection of personal data (EU 2016/679 – GDPR), your rights in relation to personal data include:
Awareness;
Access to your own data;
Correction (if data is inaccurate);
Erasure of your personal data (right to be forgotten);
Restriction of processing by the administrator;
Portability of personal data between individual administrators;
Objection to the processing of your personal data;
The data subject also has the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, which gives rise to legal consequences for the data subject or similarly significantly affects him;
Right to judicial or administrative protection in the event that the data subject’s rights have been violated.

 

11. OBLIGATIONS OF THE USER

If you provide data for another person, it is your duty to inform the person about whom you provide data to us about the contents of this Policy, as well as to do everything else necessary related to this provision according to local law. It is your responsibility to ensure that the information and data you provide to us is true and accurate.

 

12. SECURITY MEASURES OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

The personal Data Administrator assures you that it has taken organizational and technical measures to protect to the maximum extent possible unauthorized access or disclosure of information. We also require from our contractors, service providers, the availability of the necessary safeguards for the security of your personal data.
